Welcome to our church

“And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved” Acts 2 v 47

The church in Hinckley has a long history dating back to the 18th century when a Baptist work was first established in the town. We are an independent, evangelical church adhering to the principles of the reformed faith. This means our worship is based on Scripture alone, by faith alone, by grace alone, through Christ alone and to the glory of God alone.

We meet for worship on Sunday, throughout the week and have meetings for young people and children.

In our worship we use the New King James bible for the Word of God and the new Christian hymns, Mount Road Praise and additional song sheets for our singing.

We actively support mission and missionaries in the United Kingdom and in several parts of the world.

Over the years the we have met in several buildings, moving to our present building in Mount Road Hinckley in 1975.

The aim of our church is to present the Lord Jesus Christ to the local community through the preaching of the Word, the work of the Holy Spirit and by faithful witness.

Hear and take to your heart what Scripture declares

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,

for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

2 Timothy 3 v 16-17
